Department of Mental Health Accepting Applicants for Temporary Positions

Washington, DC - The District of Columbia Department of Mental Health is accepting applications for part-time and full-time Contracted Surveyors to conduct an anonymous consumer satisfaction and perceived quality of care survey for its adult and youth populations.  This federally mandated consumer survey is known as the Mental Health Statistics Improvement Program (MHSIP) survey for adult and the Youth Services Survey for Families (Y-SSF).  The purpose of the annual survey is to access consumer’s perceptions of public mental health services that are provided in community mental health centers relating to the general satisfaction of services, access to services, quality and appropriateness of services, participation in treatment, cultural sensitivity and outcomes.  Contracted Surveyors that self-identify as current or past consumers of Mental Health Services are encouraged to apply.

Contracted Surveyor Qualifications are:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Good verbal, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to use computerized database collection tool
  • Ability to perform data input with solid accuracy and consistency
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently
  • Ability to maintain flexible hours from 11am – 7pm Monday through Saturday

The Period of Employment is October 29, 2012 through December 7, 2012.  Part-time positions are a maximum of 20 hours per week and full-time position 40 hours per week not to exceed (8) weeks.  The worksite is located at 609 H Street, NE, Washington, DC  20002.

An optional Pre-Bid Conference to inform potential Contractors (Surveyors) of the bidding process and to complete the Vendor Application shall take place Monday, October 22, 2012 at 3:30 PM at 609 H Street NE, Washington, DC 20002.  Please submit your completed Vendor Application along with your resume, cover letter, and two references (optional) either at the Optional Pre-bid Conference or no later than October 23, 2012 at 609 H Street, Washington, DC  20002, to the Attendant Ms. Meredith Alexander.
