DBH publishes The Mental Health and Substance Use Report on Expenditures and Services (MHEASURES) semi-annually. It is a comprehensive overview of the usage of community based mental health and substance use disorder services, predominantly based on paid service claims. This dashboard shows information about the number of people who received behavioral health services from providers in the District of Columbia using the same data set of paid service claims as in MHEASURES.
Please note MHEASURES is a static document containing data pulled at a certain point in time. Service claims can be updated after MHEASURES is published. This dashboard contains the most current information available, so numbers may not be exactly the same as in historical MHEASURES.
In this dashboard, the user can select the category of information they would like to see, and the dashboard displays counts of individuals served based on paid claims. Multiple categories can be selected at once.
Data are refreshed monthly. The current fiscal year has a 3-month lag applied to give providers time to submit their claims.
