DBH contracts with community based providers to provide mental health services and supports. Contact a provider directly or call the Access Helpline. DBH certifies each provider to ensure conformity to federal and District regulations and monitors quality of care.

Department of Mental Health Accepts Applications for Certification for Community-Based Children Service and Rehabilitation/Day Service

Washington, DC –The Department of Mental Health is now accepting applications from mental health providers for certification to provide the Community-based Intervention Level I, Multisystemic Therapy service for children and youth as well as rehabilitation/day service. Applications must be submitted by June 30, 2013.

The moratorium on certification of new providers for all other services effective August 18, 2012 remains in effect.
