This bulletin is to clarify when it is appropriate to provide Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (MHRS) to youth consumers in school. MHRS services can be provided in schools to youth under very limited circumstances.
Request for Release of Information Authorization HIPAA Form
Per Chapter 34 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations, a Treatment Plan (IRP/IPC) is required for authorization of all MHRS. The Treatment Plan is NOT EFFECTIVE until signed by the Approving Qualified Practitioner (AQP) (see section 3408.2).
