Saint Elizabeths Hospital Hosts 9th Annual Summer Concert Series

Washington, DC— The Saint Elizabeths Hospital Annual Summer Concert Series is in full swing.  Held every Thursday at 7 p.m., through August 27, 2015, the next concert on June 25 features Lucia & Levi of “The Little Zippers” who presents an eclectic mix of rock, blues, jazz and reggae.

The free concerts showcase a variety of music, including jazz, hip hop, rock and roll, Andean, and folk music.  The concerts take place in the Hospital outdoor courtyard on the Hospital campus located at 1100 Alabama Avenue SE, near the Congress Heights Metro Station (Green Line).  All concerts are open to the public with the exception of the July 2 concert.

The summer concert series celebrates the pioneer role of Saint Elizabeths in music and dance therapy as a mechanism for healing and expression. Music has been a part of treatment at Saint Elizabeths Hospital since the 1890s.

August 27:   The Logan Kraft Band 

To maintain the privacy of individuals in care, cameras are not permitted on the Hospital campus. All visitors must present a government-issued Photo ID for entry to the campus.
