Applications due June 6, 2014

Washington, DC—The District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health is accepting applications for part-time and full-time contracted positions to conduct an anonymous consumer satisfaction and perceived quality of care survey.  The part-time positions are 20 hours per week and the full-time positions are 40 hours per week for a maximum of eight weeks through July 2014.  Individuals who self-identify as current or past consumers of mental health services and Certified Peer Specialists are encouraged to apply.

This federally mandated annual consumer survey is known as the Mental Health Statistics Improvement Program (MHSIP) survey for adults and the Youth Services Survey for Families (Y-SSF). The purpose of the survey is to access a consumer’s perceptions of public mental health services provided in community mental health centers including general satisfaction with services, access to services, quality and appropriateness of services, participation in treatment, cultural sensitivity and outcomes.

A successful applicant must have good verbal communications and interpersonal skills; demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences; perform accurate data input, and have the ability to work independently and in a team environment. A successful applicant also must be able to work flexible hours during the evening and on Saturday.  A high school diploma or GED is required.   Individuals who have customer service experience and/or fluent in English and Spanish are highly desirable candidates.  To be awarded a position, an applicant must complete a Department of Behavioral Health orientation and pass an evaluation on the content of the orientation.

An optional Pre-bid Conference to inform potential contractors of the bidding process and to receive a Vendor Application is scheduled from 11 am to 12 noon, Thursday, June 5, 2014, at 64 New York Avenue NE, Conference Room 255, Washington, DC.  If you are unable to attend the pre-bid conference, you can receive a Vendor Application from Meredith Alexander upon request by an email to [email protected].   A completed Vendor Application along with a cover letter that describes your ability to meet the qualifications described above and any experience in conducting telephone surveys, a resume, and two references (optional) can be submitted at the Pre-bid Conference.

Or, the documents must be submitted no later than 3 pm, Friday, June 6, 2014, by email to [email protected]  or by delivery to 64 New York Avenue NE, Third Floor, Washington, DC, 20002 Attn: Meredith Alexander.
